Project brief

he Serene was designed with the idea of creating a residential experience that feels peaceful, private, and elevated from the moment someone enters the property. The project is not treated as a typical apartment development. It is shaped as a calm residential retreat where the building, landscape, balconies, amenities, and shared spaces all work together to support a better way of living. The design focuses on openness, soft movement, natural light, and a strong connection to outdoor spaces. Every part of the project is planned to make daily life feel more relaxed, more social, and more considered.

LaZone approach

For LaZone, the approach was to create a residential project with a clear architectural identity and a softer living experience. The flowing facade frames became an important part of the design language. They give the building movement, improve the visual depth of the elevation, and create a more recognisable presence from the surrounding roads. The material palette was kept warm and refined, with architectural concrete, high-performance glazing, aluminium details, perforated screens, natural stone, timber effect cladding, porcelain surfaces, and soft metallic accents. These materials helped the project feel contemporary without making it look cold or overly commercial. The courtyard, pool areas, rooftop spaces, fitness zones, jogging track, wellness gardens, and leisure pockets were planned as part of one connected lifestyle experience. The idea was to make the shared spaces feel useful, comfortable, and naturally integrated into the way residents live.

Design Intent Statement

The design intent behind The Serene was to create a home environment that feels calm, open, and quietly luxurious. The architecture uses soft forms, layered frames, and generous glazing to bring light, movement, and visual balance into the project. The building is designed to feel welcoming rather than heavy, with landscape and outdoor spaces playing a key role in the overall experience. Amenities are placed to encourage wellness, relaxation, and community interaction without affecting the privacy of the residences. The central courtyard, poolside areas, rooftop cinema, fitness spaces, and garden zones are designed to give residents more ways to pause, connect, and enjoy their daily routine. The Serene reflects LaZone’s approach to residential luxury: not loud, not excessive, but deeply considered, comfortable, and built around how people actually live.
